The effect of essential oils on work-related stress in intensive care unit nurses

ABSTRACT:

This small pilot study evaluated the effect of a topical application of the essential oils Lavandula angustifolia and Salvia sclaria on work-related stress of nurses in an ICU setting. Results demonstrated decreased perception of stress level in the intervention group during three 12-hour worked shifts.
